Amanda

Amanda is an open source solution for backup and recovery of systems that has been keeping organizations up and running for over a decade. It's based on the concept of having a master backup server with large capacity tape drives that backs up many hosts.

Running daily (or as often as it's configured), it goes to the network and backs up systems configured as clients sending a report with it's results when it has completed each run.
